Ramses is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team at Saunders Robinson Brown.

Specialising in employment law, Ramses frequently acts for employers and employees on various employment matters including minimum employment entitlements, dealing with employee issues and employment processes. Ramses has successfully represented clients in the Employment Relations Authority and got successful results settling disputes through negotiation and mediation. Whether advising on discrimination complaints or holiday entitlements, Ramses sees value in developing a strategy with his clients to get the desired results.

Outside of Saunders Robinson Brown, Ramses enjoys volunteering in the Canterbury community. You can find him assisting Community Law Canterbury or running the employment clinic for the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Having graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, Ramses began working at Community Law Canterbury and in Timaru before joining Saunders Robinson Brown in 2020.

Notable experience

  • Successfully represented employees in the Employment Relations Authority on claims ranging from unfair redundancy, constructive dismissal, wages claims, unpaid breaks.

  • Conducted complex workplace investigations.

  • Successfully defending a personal grievance brought by an independent contractor.

  • Conducted Health and Safety risk assessments.
