Josh Orton

Working across commercial and residential property Josh specialises in large scale acquisitions, disposals, subdivisions, leasing and development projects.

Josh has acted for commercial landlords and tenants across a range of industries, and his corporate and commercial work includes advising on corporate restructuring and the negotiation and drafting of high-value commercial contracts.

Josh graduated in 2003 from the University of Canterbury and joined the law firm Wynn Williams in the Commercial Property and Projects Team.

In mid-2019 Josh joined SRB as a Partner in the Commercial Team.

Notable experience

• Acting for vendors and purchasers on a number of regional shopping malls and large mixed-tenancy buildings.

• Advising on the leasing of various regional shopping malls.

• Advising clients on leasing matters for their property portfolios across New Zealand.

• Advising on unit title matters.
