Karina is a Senior Solicitor in the Commercial Team at Saunders Robinson Brown.

She advises clients on commercial property transactions, business sale and purchases, leasing, company law and general commercial matters.

Karina joined Saunders Robinson Brown in 2022 and prior to this practised law in Marlborough/Te Tau Ihu and Canterbury/Waitaha where she assisted clients with residential and commercial property transactions, financing, trust matters and succession planning.

Karina graduated from the University of Canterbury in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in te reo Māori and Māori and Indigenous Studies.

She is conversational in te reo and passionate to inspire others to ākona te reo/learn the language.

Notable experience

  • Advising vendors and purchasers on residential and commercial sale and purchase agreements - assisting from due diligence stages through to settlement.

  • Advising clients on business sales and purchases and associated transfer of leases, supply contracts and other licences to the new entity.

  • Advising clients on the creation of leasing arrangements, variation of existing leases, renewal of leases and any associated rent reviews, and other general leasing matters.

  • Advising clients regarding trust and estate planning and preparing financial, care and well being arrangements for later in life.
